Hi,

A question came up on weather or not a developer should or should not receive a copy of what they created or had a large part in creating. I'm defining developer as someone who has created something physical to be used in the server (skins, models, animations, etc..) I'm not making this thread for those who buy forerunner tiers or make suggestions on the forums. Currently I do receive one copy of the coinshop accessories I make for you guys but recently Brass and myself have completed the railgun that I've had up on my development thread for sometime. I can say now that its pretty sick and i'm excited to see it in the server, but I have put a considerable amount of time into the model and animations so they are that they can be the best of my ability. Should I and future developers receive a copy of what they have had a large part in developing? I'm not only making this thread for me but for anyone else who wants to start making content for the server. I can't tell you how discouraging it is to spend so much time on something and get nothing to show for it. And i'm not expecting devs to get something for everything they do. An example being the item crate and gift crate icon I modeled in which I receive nothing and am completely fine with.

TL;DR- Its discouraging to developers if they do not receive some kind of payment for the work they do. Should or Shouldn't they get a copy of what they make?

My Idea
My idea is...PAINT Buckets!

Bacically, it would be a new Coinshop Item under a new catagory called, "Player Model Paint" and what it does is change the color of your current player model. There would be multiple colors, and possibly an option to choose a custom color using the color pallate, which would most likely cost more considering its unique skill. Now I understand certain player models might not be effected by the Color, and my solution is that under every player model that can't use the paint, has a warning saying that paint won't work on it. The way to use it is simple, all you have to do is equip it from your inventory, and if you want to take it off, just unequip it.

Why would you like to be promoted?:
I play a lot and i'm on sometimes when there is no one to deal with the random death matchers, and killing people on suspicion.With the basic admin abilities that member+gives I could aid in assisting with the rdm, making the server more fun and enjoyable for everyone.
Why do you think we should promote you?:
I think i've shown that i'm calm and cool most of the times and try to help out on catching permanent ban offenders with demo proof.I'm a veteran of TTT, played it when it first came out.

The scorpion spear negates fall damage, when I tried to pull someone off a lighthouse, they didn't take any damage when they hit the ground and killed me.

I'm alive and have done much recently. As much as it pains me to do this I'm making an update in case anyone cares.


So I've finished high school after what seems like an eternity, I should have been done a while ago but health issues to stump that a bit. I've graduated early this year and have some time off and with the summer vacation I'll probably put in the effort to try some means of getting better.

I am probably going to start work sometime in the future, which is well and good.


But in the background the tests have slowly been rolling in for me from the visits a month ago with the doctor. They're limited down to a certain disease which is rare, but my case is very unusual which means they're thinking it could even be a mutation that affects me in a different way.

The way it's looking I'm having more tests done in a week and some may be going to the NIH (National Institute of Health) which is a big deal.

So one step forward and an undecided amount of steps backwards. I never seem to be able to win, but at least something is happening.


I'll be more active in the next couple of days given the free time, so expect Kuro to plague your presence for a bit.
