Can we make the last prayer special? Its the least unique godlike secondary no, godlike in general. We have weapons that fire laser beams, summon lightning, mark for death, freeze people, life leach, summon ice pillars, summon fire vortexes, make things gravitate towards players, locks onto targets, summon holographic sharks. Then to top it off we have the LastPrayer which shoots sorta fast and has bullets that ricochet but will never hit. Perhaps its me just bitching, but when the bloodfury was deemed too dull it got something to make it fun to use and thats exactly how I feel about the LP its just a pretty deag thats boring to use.

Survive

  • Players will now respawn with AT LEAST 500 points. After round 15 they will respawn with 1,000 minimum. This should help the 'snowball' effect, when you die once, you just keep dying due to lack of money.
  • The boss now has increased drop rates for the 'orb' it can drop (the little glowing loot zombies drop). This is just extra loot on top of the loot you get for beating him.
  • Fixed and changed 'friendly' zombies from the Staff of Osiris. The zombies will now target other zombies close to their owner. They will also follow the owner around if no other targets are found.
  • Added a 'Save state' mechanic, this happens automatically. Every 30 seconds your runs state is saved. It will save your points, weapons, ammos, doors unlocked, etc. When the server is restarted, your party can rejoin and it will load the previous state and start you from the start of that round. You will get your weapons, ammo, kills, deaths, and points back.
  • There is now a display when the server crashes. It informs you that you can continue you run when the server is back up, and it will auto-reconnect you to the lobby before you get the time out.

So, I used to port forward a few things and I played some games due to it, like Grim Dawn with friends and stuff, but a while back Sasktel, my ISP, came out with their new modem/router/thing, the PACE-5168N. After months of trying and failing to port forward anything, I finally got access to a PROPER support technician who was NOT a turban-wearing Indian and fully capable of human level intelligence, and I learned that these new routers AUTOMATICALLY TIME OUT CONNECTIONS, hence screwing over any port forwarding.

I was offered two (TWO) options:

1) Enable DMZPlus mode, basically meaning no firewall and letting all incoming/outgoing connections through (Basically, DON'T DO THIS), or

2) Downgrade to the OLD router just to port forward.

I cannot believe how bullheaded and stupid this ISP is. I went through hoops of fire and this is my fifth or SIXTH time phoning them and trying to get this fixed. The girl on the end of the line was smart as hell, and even wanted to give me tips for how to port forward and get steam games/vent servers and stuff online.

On Monday a technician should be coming down, but I want to warn all of you: If you somehow move to Saskatchewan, RUN AWAY REALLY FAST. THIS PLACE IS TERRIBLE. THE INTERNET SUCKS, THE SERVICE SUCKS, THE PEOPLE SUCK. I'm heading to America as soon as possible, because, frankly, FUCK Canada.

I spent months thinking "Okay, what is happening I AM NOT THIS RETARDED I CAN PORT FORWARD WHAT IS WRONG", only to learn its not fucking supported somehow. I don't even get it. I'm so mad.

Now, the old routers are from what I recall SHITTY, and I can't use any non-Sasktel routers, so I basically have to enjoy a shitty downgrade to do what I want to do, or suck it up with the """"""""NEW"""""""" router.

Kill me.

Survive(NEWEST)

  • Added two new cool items to the Mystery crate. These items are unique to this event and can't be obtained on TTT.
  • Tweaked the Shade teleport code some more.
  • Converted the boss to the new collision type. Should make it a lot less common to get stuck inside him.
  • Tweaked the boss' blink code so he can't blink into or through players.


Survive(earlier today)
  • You can now see the stats of weapons on walls. Just look at them for ~1 second and it will display the stats below the item.
  • Fixed friendly fire.
  • Tweaked drop rates of the Backpack.
  • Adjusted HP scaling slightly more.
  • Fixed losing points/kills/deaths on d/c. (again).


How would you guys feel about allowing other users to grab the item out of the mysterious crate after ~10 seconds or so?

Post your opinions on this below, as well as some ideas. One idea was to have them pay for it, either half price of mystery box, or half the price the weapon would be on the wall.

Survive

  • Added "Mysterious Crate". This costs 2,500 points and will give a randomized weapon(there's a shared animation everyone can see). This can be just about anything, including some special items you can only obtain from this. These are items only for USE in the event. Not items in your Inventory.
    This crate will spawn in a new location every 5 rounds after round 10, however it will always spawn in the same first initial spot. I'll leave it to you to find it.

    Currently only the person who buys the crate can obtain the weapon picked from it, I may change this later to allow other players to grab it after x seconds.
  • Overhauled Zombie Aggro system. It is now more distance based than anything, and if they run into a player they will switch aggros to that player (helps them not get the players stuck).
  • Improved player vs zombie collisions (not yet for the boss though). This should result in getting stuck a lot less often, I tested this to round 14 with Grassx and we never got stuck a single time (other than getting 100% cornered). I could even jump on top of zombies and still not get stuck.
  • Zombies now 'look ahead' to see if another player is in their path, if found, it will aggro them instead (again to help prevent sticking to players).

Inventory
  • Added 'Backpack' items. These handy items allow you to store items inside them, ALL from within ONE inventory slot (current one has a max of 15 slots). The catch is you can not manually put items directly from your Inventory in there. Instead, you right click them and click "Enable". Once enabled (can be disabled at anytime), it will collect all drops/obtained loot. Once full, items will either go in the next available backpack, or your Inventory/overflow
    You can view what's in the backpack by right clicking it and selecting "Open".
    You have the option to 'Discard All' or 'Get All', you can also choose what to do per item (left/right click on item).
    These are tradeable/sellable on the market ONLY WHEN EMPTY.

    I plan to eventually adapt this system to make a 'Badge Sack' to hold your badges.

    You can obtain these right now only from the Survive event as drops from zombies, or post-run.
