Red Die (Repost)

#1
Hi everyone! Just wanted to repost this because the original thread devolved into a flamewar.

Please try not to argue too much, and if you post a vote please give a reason. Thanks!

Item Name: Red Die

Pictures:

Description: (in italics) Reroll!

Price: 400 coins

Progress report:
Going to remake it (again) this afternoon. Dice will be white instead of red. I'll make sure all holes are in alignment. Will also add a link to 3d model.

This was kind of a pointless repost, the flaming had stopped plus if it was that bad an admin would have deleted the posts.

o7 old thread, my only friend.

Imo it's easier to count votes without scrolling past 2 pages of arguing.

This die is okay, not sure if I like the fact that it's red.  #WhiteDiceMatter

Like I said before, you should use http://www.sketchfab.com to upload the .blend file so that we all (except Terran) can get our own 3D view of the dice to see every angle.

Like I said, the die looks nice enough but there are still some details I can't quite place my finger on that the dice needs. Like indenting the holes a bit, like a real die.

+0 - Be more patient with these kinds of things.  Making models takes time and effort, and the output reflects it.  Things also aren't added to the coinshop immediately.  Patience is a virtue.

Edit: Looking at the three images you provided again, you have given me another reason to plug http://www.sketchfab.com. The "3" side of the die is not properly aligned, you can see the un-straightness of the dots.

Actually the holes are indented, its the lighting that is causing it to look flat. I'll add a sketchfab link so you can explore it in detail. Also, I know that white dice would be cool but I want to make the model stand out a bit more.
In addition, I'll fix the three alignment when I have time.

White stands out more than red IMO, unless its a fucking bright as shit red.

I'm making another die, too, because I'm bored.

There has to be competition or else it isn't fun. Smile

Yeah, put more time into your models. You spend half an hour on a model and call it complete, when you could add something unique to it
