Weapon use: The weapon, as the names suggests, is to be used as a backup weapon for those who wield snipers or other weapons that specialize in long ranges. Its low ammo capacity ensures its not used in other contexts as you run the risk of running out of ammo. Its low accuracy, high recoil, and inability to aim down sights ensures it can only really be used in close/low-medium ranges.
