I like the idea of summoning stuff, but getting blocked by them and making it harder to walk would be super annoying so I feel no collision is a must. In addition if these are too hard to hit it would be super annoying, but as long as these are addressed I like this 
Oh and maybe give you and ingame message to tell the player who the rats are attacking since alot of players who havent seen/ new players / or if you forget you might now know whats going on like when you just kill a new player with eveningstar ice because they dont know whats happening.
