WHAT IS DEADLOCK? WHAT IS STREET BRAWL? (You can skip this section if you know already)
Deadlock is an upcoming third-person hero-shooter-MOBA-hybrid game developed and published by Valve.
It is currently in Open Alpha. ( meaning you need to be invited by anyone who currently has access. If you would like to enter but do not have access, please enter anyway and let me or Originalmind know and we can get you an invite ourselves. )
The main mode of deadlock is a MOBA-style 3-lanes setup where you have to progressively siege the enemy teams' base until you defeat their ultimate defense, the Patron.
Street Brawl is a recently-released alternative mode where you play a Best-of-Five match of miniature skirmishes, and whoever defeats the opposing teams' structure first wins the round.
Unlike normal Deadlock, which uses traditional MOBA last-hitting mechanics to gain money to buy items from a shop, you get offered items as choices-of-three at the start of every round.
These matches are basically entirely fighting and micro / gameplay skill, and are much shorter than normal mode matches.
This is the gamemode we're hosting a tourney for.
HOW CAN I SIGN UP FOR THIS TOURNEY?
You can sign up as a team of four people : your designated "team captain" should post your team name and members (optionally with a drawn team emblem). The members should reply to your message in this thread confirming they're a part of the team.
If you sign up as a team of four, feel free to include any friends of yours who do not play FRG. They do not need to reply to this thread, just specify like : Loach [non frg] when you list your team members.

As a single person who wants to be matchmade with others to form a team.
you NEED to post a reply in this thread to participate, and you must specify which of the above you are doing.
WHAT ARE THE GAME FORMAT RULES?
Both teams will, in the pregame lobby, randomly roll a hero to play. (We will probably use a spinner wheel for this externally, the "random" function ingame is not very functional.)
This is their hero they must play for the match, but each team gets exactly one trade where two people can swap heroes.
The matches will all be Best-Of-1-Game with the exception of the last 2 teams' finals match which will be Best-of-3 games.
WHEN?
This will take place on the first Saturday of February, 02/07/2026, in the evening.
