It's a meta weapon but there are better things, especially for "long ranged" as you suggest. As for your experiences with it, accuracy can do some crazy things. Like this with a deimos, I didn't aim a single shot onto their player.

Also, this is supposed to be a countered weapon for mobility and bhoppers, It's fine to leave it in a meta where speed IS heavily prevalent.

Keep the ability to slow movement, but you guys DO know it slows your aiming, right? That doesn't counter mobility or bhopping or anything. It just screws anyone affected by it over. Play with your mouse on the lowest sensitivity and drag said mouse across the mat to move it an inch. It sucks.
