Game freezes 30 seconds after joining any FRG server

After joining either FRG TTT #1 or FRG Lobby, I can load in just fine but the game freezes after almost exactly 30 seconds of being on the server. I have tried deleting my addons folder, data folder, cl.db, mn.db, and sv.db, and it made no difference. This only started happening after I switched to a different operating system, although that might just be a coincidence. This doesn't happen on any other server (except FRG TTT #2, which I haven't tested). I am using the "x86-64 - Chromium + 64-bit binaries" branch.

Try opting out of the beta branches, or try typing

in your console as soon as you join.

The command didn't help, but switching to the default branch fixes the problem of freezing after exactly 30 seconds in, however it makes the game much less stable on all servers, so unfortunately I don't think that solution will work for me.
