Event idea

Okay, so, leave your equipment in the bank for this one.

The party starts out in a room, in a dungeon prison, but it seems the guards are dead already, and your cells were opened for some reason. Outside of the cell you see equipment.

Bow of the Ranger: Equips ranger class, has lower hp, has a bow, increased accuracy, can summon pets with a whistle (take an idea from ocarina, summon different pets with different whistle calls), can see enemies of a type in an area when one of that type is hit

Pets could include:
-Bear, aggressive, enemies will target it first, high hp, high damage
-Dog, fetches loot orbs for you, cannot be targeted by enemies, can sniff out potentially hidden treasure behind secret walls
-Tiger, swift, ferocious attacks, will knockback or knock down enemies when it strikes

Sword of the Warrior: Equips Warrior class, which has longsword taken straight from the rounds, without the healing, increased health, reduced damage received, can do a spin attack for aoe damage on area around them, and lastly can also do a shout which makes enemies target the warrior

Holy Symbol of the Cleric: Equips cleric class, normal hp, has the book of course, but also a flail with shield. The flail has less damage than the sword, but has a decent range and hit box size. Cleric book does everything it usually does with healing, and instead of ammo, a small damage reduction buff for a brief time. Can also do turn undead to make all zombie enemies flee for a certain amount of time, can also revive x allies for cost of all mana (depends on number of players for the run, 1 player for 4 and 5 man, but 2 for 6 man)

Wand of the Mage: Equips mage class, lower hp (let's face it, mages are always weak) which has a better wand than TTT does (and hopefully a better model than the magneto stick)which can cast other spells, depending on key sequences hit when holding a key (think like fishing, mixed with Magicka), with higher key sequences doing better more powerful spells, such as fireball, lightning bolt, blizzard, even up to summon spells, where you can summon ignis or glacies, or perhaps a weaker morgoth for a VERY BRIEF TIME

Dagger of the Rogue: Equips assassin class, normal hp, has all the normal assassin perks, excluding the door thing of course, but sneaks up on enemies, does bonus damage on backstabs, can't be targeted when invisible, but loses stealth if bumping into enemies. high swing rate for dagger, high mobility, can detect traps and hidden doors easier, if there's a locked chest, you can skip the key and just have the rogue pick the lock with a fishing style typing mini game, but there is a bunch of keys instead (but if you fail, of course, then you HAVE to go find the key)

Lute of the Bard: Equips Bard class, lower hp, can buff allies much like the ocarina, but in an aoe style, can also cast some spells using music as well, when played, enables you to press a key to use the spell within a timeframe at an enemy. Can also do weaker healing in a singular style instead of an aoe like the cleric

Anyway, there will be 1 of each available, and it's up to the players to pick what they want, but there's no going back, nor picking up of additional weaponry

So in this dungeon, as you leave the room, there's some giant rats kind of around for some reason, you get the feeling they may have crawled their way in for food, but it's a good way to get yourself reaquainted with your gear. As you proceed down, there's almost what seems like a massacre in the halls, blood everywhere, but no bodies? that's odd. Of course, there will be plenty of dungeon to explore, random chests and odd tidbits here and there, maybe a nice puzzle for a secret room.

Further in, you encounter some zombies, which would explain the bodies you suppose, naturally easy to kill enemies, as zombies always are. You make your way through that, and eventually find yourself in the first boss room, where you encounter 2 wights, much more powerful zombies, much like the survive boss, but not quite so magically inclined. Divide and conquer, or do what you do best and cheese the fuck out of it, and the door that seemed magically locked now is available to go through

Now, it's getting more and more eerie. There's skeletons now, a bit tougher, harder to hit, and they fight back with arrows and swords too. Make your way to the next boss room for a fun fight with the skeleton king himself, much more powerful, swings a huge warhammer around with ease, this fucker's been drinking milk with this much HP. But after you beat him, you get but a brief respite to get yourself together (basically heal and buff, then there's a prompt asking if ready) when a lich appears before you, asking "WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO MY CREATIONS" and teleports you into a pit of horror with bones all around in a round arena with other obstacles that you can hide around and behind.

The final fight, of course he's gonna summon the enemies you've fought before, skeletons and zombies, then after you kill them, he will jump in, cast a few spells, you gotta find the phylactery and weaken that however (which is hidden somewhere in the map) and he will do his down phase where you can unleash hell upon him) and cycle and repeat for a good fight.

Afterwards, you are teleported back to a small village, where townsfolk are aware that the lich is dead, and reward you with your loot, after expressing much gratitude

tl:dr, DnD dungeon, zombies and skeletons, lich final boss, coliseum fashion, rewarded from townsfolk instead of a chest like usual

I like the idea of a neutral event. Doesnt matter what equipment you have, all that matters is the team you brought in. This would be great to introduce new players to the event and party system. Good idea!
