Melee Modifiers

Modifiers can be dropped through any traditional means. They can be used ONCE as a permanent addition to any melee.
Every melee has a single slot for a modifier. No more than one can be added, however it can be removed using a Rune of Reinvigoration. Blame Tobias if thats not the Primordial one.

Modifier 1: Rubber Grip
  • Firerate: +3%
  • Damage: +2%

Modifier 2: Spikes/Thicker Metal
  • Firerate: -5%
  • Damage: +7%
  • Mobility: -3%

Modifier 3: Handle Extension
  • Firerate: -3%
  • Damage: +2%
  • Mobility: -3%
  • Range: +7%

Modifier 4: Thinner Metal
  • Firerate: +3%
  • Damage: -5%
  • Mobility: +7%

  • SORRY BUT THE STATS ARE SUPER TOP SECRET






Alternate idea that I don't even care for: Maybe the modifier can just be shoved in the Misc. slot.

Oh yes lemme just pop on of those "handle extensions" on my sledge hammer and voilà, cancer. In all seriousness this seems tricky to balance.

Yeah i see this being hard to balance across all melees now, especialy new godswords.

And if this became a thing, how long til laser sight, scope, grip "Modifiers" for other weps would be asked for? Kinda breaks the tier system then, but then again, melees dont have tiers
