I don't really feel that excuses your actions. You were still really toxic to him and an absolute dick. I don't think it was cool to take advantage of the poor kid to have a laugh, because of you he was on for hours for only a couple minutes of gameplay. He just wanted to play the game, and you had to deny him that because you wanted to be funny.
