Make sure to look at any exploits, the design of the map, and optimization
Some commands for looking at optimization
+showbudget is good for graphing out what’s being rendered
Mat_wireframe 1 also shows what your looking at visually
You’ll probably won’t need these too much, but it’s good to find out why your frames are poor in some maps

If there are small issues with maps that seem fixable I'd probably come to you if I get accepted to handle maps. Be prepared for me to annoy the shit out of you. =)
