spooky traits and others trait ideas - Unknown - 09-30-2021 delusion- 1 in X chance to cause the target to see disguised figures that appear to be shooting at you, these targets do no damage and will disappear after some time, or after being shot at by the player confusion- 1 in X chance for the targets damage #s to show incorrectly Wraith- Bullets have a 1 in X chance to give a target a stack of wraith, at Z stacks of wraith, a ethereal creature will chase down the target through walls. on collision with the targeted player, they take damage Bone tossers- 1 in X chance on kill to spawn small skeletons, these skeletons can throw bones where you are shooting (projectile) these skeletons will follow you around the map for 1 minute. (think of the trait leaving souls on the ground only for the killer to see, that they will need to interact with the use key or a short cast) Jewel crusher- causes the crotch to be a mini-crit zone, if the killer kills someone like this, the say something funny like Deez nuts! hot streak- kills causes you to gain a stack of stability/reload speed, at max stacks, gives the player a 15% mobi boost expunge- 1 in x chance for bullets to get targets a stack of deadly toxin, the amount of stacks depends on damage. on HS kill, targets explode releasing this toxin to other players at its full value ad-ware: 1 in X chance to cause the target to have to start closing pop-ups that appear on their screen. there will be a charge bar on the screen to show when a pop-up will be appearing so that the affected player has time to prepare bad-healing: 1 in X chance to cause any healing received by the player to instead have them take damage ***Alternate trait proc ideas: a lot of traits in FRG are '1 in X' traits; An addition to these could be more consistent traits that apply to damage dealt or bullets landed onto a target player. So guns that have a higher 1 in X chance due their firerates could see better usage out of these types of traits: - bullets apply a stack of X; after Y amounts of stacks, Z effect happens - Bullets will cause X effect to happen after Y damage is done to target player could give other bases some interesting trait options due to having higher firerates, would just need to be careful for something like damage traits. wouldn't want someone with some Aids trait creating havoc with a glock-a-doodle. below are some basic examples of these traits: Chill- Bullets hit give target a stacking slow. At X stacks they freeze in a icecube tempo- after 5 bullets hit, gain a stacking mobi/reload buff overcharge- After landing 5 shots, the 6th shot will be charged dealing additional damage Deep pockets- Damage dealt is converted into ammo in the reserves. reloading shortly after a kill increases your reload speed |
