There's not really many other actions/buttons I can use. GMOD is terribly limited with this aspect.

I do not have access to every button on the keyboard(serverside), only the IN keys are transmitted to the server. I can make it so once you have it fully charged, it stays charged for x amount of seconds, like bows and what not, or make it Toggle to charge (tap E to start charging, tap E again to stop). But unless you can find a more suitable default key in the link above, E is the best option.
You can rebind +use to make it easier on yourself as a simple workaround.
