I never owned a GameCube so it offers no nostalgic value to me but I did play some games at different friend's houses as a kid and there are some great ones for sure.
It's never too late to buy one... I'd consider most gamecube games to still be better than most new games coming out - especially Super Mario Sunshine (best mario game to date)
also theyre like $20 max
I don't think I need to get into collecting for another system at this point. xD

Yeah, I sold all of my xbox games when the xbox 360 came out except those 4. Maybe I will have to re-buy them. D=
