It's not supposed to be some crazy, insanely useful effect btw, It's a little 'trait' to add on to your gun(Yes it WAS intended to be a trait, but I ended up just making the name a suffix), and the radius isn't massive either, it's about ~2 players, but once you infect one, the other one can also infect and so on until the damage is 0. The small radius is probably why you haven't seen too many get infected. I have tested it while surrounded by bots, and it spreads fine.
Every damage tick is when it has a chance to spread.
If I remove the spreading, the effect basically becomes your run of the mill, poison type DoT suffix, and would need to be renamed. Not needed IMO, as again, I never wanted this to be something extremely useful.
As for making it spread easier, and MAYBE do a bit more damage, I will see what I can do.
